Determinants of Tacit Knowlegde Sharing among IT professionals: the role of organizational culture, personality traits, and social network

The objective of this study is to contribute to the knowledge sharing literature by including previously unexplored variables as predictors, understanding the tacit knowledge sharing phenomena among information technology (IT) professionals, and investigating the role of organizational commitment as a mediator. Organizational culture will be considered because the organizational environment influences the willingness to share knowledge. Also, the individual characteristics will be addressed due to the role of personality traits on the individual disposition to share tacit knowledge. Finally, the social network will analyze whether social ties will influence the willingness to share knowledge due to reciprocity norms and interpersonal trust.
